2023.06.15 Decanter Centrifuge

This drilling fluids solids control system contains following equipment:

1. Double deck shale shaker GNSZ706J. Shale shaker always shows up in the first stage to remove the largest share of drilling cuttings. Comparing with a single deck shale shaker, a double deck shale shaker can increase the treating capacity by 30%. The drilling mud falls onto the upper deck of shaker with comparably coarse screens for the 1st separation, then onto the lower deck with finer screens for the 2nd separation.

2. Vacuum degasser GNZCQ270. A degasser is used to remove the gas bubbles from the drilling mud. It can help to protect the pumps after the vacuum degasser. GN Vacuum degasser has a special design which doesn’t need an additional feeding pump. It is always located after the shale shaker and before the desander and it can also plays the role as a large mud agitator.

3. Desander GNWSJ-2S. This is a desanding unit without underflow shaker. It is fed by a centrifugal pump and is used to remove particles larger than 40 microns.

4. Desilter GNZS752-12N. Desilter cyclones are used to remove particles larger than 20 microns, and it is also fed by a centrifugal pump. This one is equipped with an underflow shale shaker with 2 pieces of screens.

5. Drilling fluids decanter centrifuge GNLW363D. Decanter centrifuge is used to remove the fine particles from the drilling liquid, ranging from 2 to 5 microns.

6. Mud tank system including centrifugal pumps and mixing hopper.

The Russia Oil Exhibition NEFTEGAZ 2023 was held by end of April in Moscow, which was a sign of recovery after the three years’ pandemic, the recovery of the whole economy all over the world. 2023.04.28 Vertical Cuttings Dryer

For this exhibition, GN Solids Control has brought to Moscow following equipment:

1. Solids control decanter centrifuge. In a standard solids control system for oil and gas drilling, the first step is always the shale shakers. And after the shale shakers, sometimes there are desander and desilter cyclones for finer particle removal. But in nowadays, more and more decanter centrifuges are being used after the cyclones. In some cases, end users are even replacing the cyclones with 2 centrifuges, a middle speed one and a high speed one. This time for this exhibition, GN brought a high speed centrifuge.

2. Vertical cuttings dryer. GN has been manufacturing the vertical cuttings dryer from year 2014 and has upgraded its GNCD930 series vertical cuttings dryers for many times. A vertical cuttings dryer is designed especially for treating the drilling cuttings for oil based mud. Those cuttings are generated from the shale shakers’ discharge. After shale shaker, although all large particles are removed, the particles are still too wet, containing valuable drilling fluids. In this case, the vertical cuttings dryers are used for reduce the moisture of cuttings and recover as much fluids at same time.

3. Shale shaker screens. Shale shaker screens are also one of GN Solids Control’s core products. They seem simple, but in fact they are of core technology including the matching of mesh cloth, the strength of frame and etc, which will greatly affect the shaker’s performance. GN Separation Exhibited in the CONEXPO 2023

1. Linear motion shale shaker. Shale shaker is a vital equipment for physical separation works for various applications. 3. Solids vacuum pump. This is a powerful pump which can handle solids particles as sands and small stones as long as they have some liquidate. GN has several solids pump models for option based on different capacities.

GNLW554-VFD Decanter Centrifuge for Overseas Glucose Syrup Clarification Project

A batch of GN Mini Decanter Centrifuges to be delivered to European Customer

Decanter centrifuges are widely used in various drilling industries for the separation of solids and liquid, including the oil and gas drilling, geothermal drilling, diamond drilling and pipe jacking. 2023.02.24 Mini decanter centrifuge

1. GNLW223 Decanter centrifuge. It is also called a baby centrifuge among all GN centrifuge models. The length diameter ratio is 3, which is a typical value for drilling mud separation works. The largest RPM it can reach is 4500RPM, and it can efficiently remove all the particles from 2 to 5 microns.

2. Applications of GNLW223 decanter centrifuge. GNLW 223 decanter centrifuge is small but popular. It is widely used among GN clients in diamond drilling projects, geothermal well’s drilling, HDD projects and animal waste treatment. It is a compact model especially in North America and Europe.

3. Special design for this batch of GNLW223 decanter centrifuges. When the centrifuge is put into use, it should be put on a certain height in order to discharge the liquid and solids. That’s why there is always a skid, sometimes telescopic, under the decanter centrifuge. For this batch of decanter centrifuges, GN designed a small tank below the centrifuge, together with half height as the standing frame. The small tank could be a catch tank for holding the discharge liquid. While transportation the solids discharge chute can be folded between the tank and centrifuge. GN Separation will attend 27th Mining World Russia Expo in April

In the coming April, the 27th Mining World Russia will be held in Moscow. GN Separation will attend this fair, brining GN Mining Vibrating Screen and polyurethane screen panels.

1. Stack vibrating screen’s structure:

Stack vibrating screen is a self-designed equipment of GN Separation. It is called stack, because it can be made with 2 to 5 layers, and the exact layer number depends on the job site requirement because each layer has the same screen size and equipped by exactly same screen opening sizes.

2. Features of stack vibrating screens:

The material will enter each layer equally and to be separated at same time and to be discharged under same condition. And the products after separation are collected together. In this way, the separating capacity is doubled, tripled and even quadrupled in a limited space. It is also economic to use a stack shaker when considering the consumption of energy, cause all those screen layers are sharing 2 sets if vibrating motors.

Separation Methods to be Used for Mining Beneficiation

The purpose of beneficiation is to separate the mining raw material into useful minerals and useless components.
