1500HP Drilling Rig Solids Control System for Africa Project

As one of the leading solids control manufacturers in the world, the drilling mud solids control system is always one of GN’s core products. It is obvious that GN’s name is also after the Solids Control.
Since year 2010, GN became the first solids control manufacturer in China as an API certified manufacturer in fields of solids control, has GN delivered its products to more than 70 countries in the world, including the solids control equipment, solids control systems and shaker screens. This time, just recently, GN manufactured a solids control system for a drilling site in Africa. This is a complete system combined by following equipment:

1.Mud tanks. This order is for 2 sets of solids control systems for 2 sets of 1500HP drilling rig, which is a middle sized oil drilling rig with shale shaker tanks, intermediate tanks, suction tanks, mixing tanks, reserve tanks and trip tanks.

2.All related solids control equipment for separation. As is known to all, in a complete mud solids control system, there are 4 steps for solids control and 5 steps for separation, and the 4 is counted among the 5 which are shale shaker, desander cyclones, desilter cyclones and decanter centrifuge. And the 5th separation equipment is the degasser. All of them are involved in this solids control system and all equipment are manufactured by GN Solids Control.

3.All auxiliary equipment for transferring the drilling mud. Besides the separation equipment, GN also provides the equipment for transferring and other necessary functions in a complete solids control system, such as mud agitators, mud guns, and centrifugal pumps for feeding the cyclones and for jet mixing.

Each year, GN makes tens of such mud recycling systems for drilling contractors, drilling rig manufacturers, oil service companies and drilling mud plants owners. GN equipment are also sold solo without mud tanks, for example, annually, GN makes and sell hundreds of shale shakers and decanter centrifuges and tens of vertical cuttings dryers.
